In order to understand the significance of these programs, it’s important to know the history of the places utilizing them. A civil war in Liberia has had long, compounding effects on the nearby communities–an obvious fact, but not so easily understood.
Food. Something we consume every day, several times a day, without much consideration for when we may get it next. During times of political unrest, food, education, and livelihoods can fall to the wayside.
