Across continents and generations, AMI has stood alongside rural communities confronting many of the same fundamental questions: Who controls the land? Who has access to food, opportunity, and resources? And who gets to shape the future of their community?
The work we’ve done has centered different communities and different histories with a deeply connected struggle for land, food sovereignty, dignity, and economic justice.
For years, AMI has accompanied rural peoples as they organize, lead, and build solutions rooted in their own communities. That work continues today.
